NORML in Arizona’s home meeting last night in the State Capitol of Marijuana Reform and the Biggest Town in America-Gilbert, Arizona.
This month we welcomed NORML Attorney Marc Victor who spoke about liberty and freedom in Arizona, where we are and where we are heading, as well as his congressional run last year against Jeff Flake and Richard Carmona.
Attorney Marc J. Victor has been a long time supporter of NORML and many other freedom causes.
Marc Victor was called away at the last minute because of the Jodi Arias trial for today’s show, Mike Wasdin filled in for Marc and welcomed guest’s Dave And Kathy Inman of NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws). Mike, Dave and Kathy discussed marijuana legalization, the failed war on drugs and what NORML has planned for the next election cycle. We look at who is for freedom and who is not when it comes to Arizona’s politicians.
This is not just about the right to smoke marijuana, but freedom in general. It’s about owning yourself and as a rightful owner being able to make all decisions about what you are able to put into your body.
Don’t be afraid of your freedom!
I’m joined by Attorney For Freedom, Marc J. Victor. Marc and his law firm represent a variety of clients and most notably successfully defended Pastor Steve Anderson who was arrested at internal CBP/DHS checkpoint in Arizona in 2008.
Marc provides his perspective as an attorney who “cares more about liberty than about money” on the state of our Constitution and the broader context in which our country seeps deeper into the pit of tyranny, while the public remains largely apathetic. Also, Marc gives his take on the recent arrest of Cosme Cortez Jr. in Laredo, Texas (and others in the South Texas region) who have taken on the role of activists and resisted internal checkpoints.
Today on TOR Radio: During the first hour of the program, we will be joined by Lucy Steigerwald, writer and contributor for Antiwar.com, Reason, Huffington Post and VICE. Lucy will be on the show to discuss her article regarding the MOVE bombing in Philadelphia in 1985: “28 Years Ago The Philadelphia Police Department Bombed and Burned a City Block.” We’ll also discuss how the police state has advanced since then, the comparisons to Waco and much more.
In the second hour, we’ll be joined by Attorney For Freedom, Marc J. Victor. Marc and his law firm represent a variety of clients and most notably successfully defended Pastor Steve Anderson who was arrested at internal CBP/DHS checkpoint in Arizona in 2008. We hope to get Marc’s perspective on the recent arrest of Cosme Cortez Jr. in Laredo, Texas (and others in the South Texas region) who have similarly stood up for their rights at these suspicionless checkpoints.
