Statement on the Elizabeth Johnson Case

Elizabeth has asked me to convey her thanks to the many people who have supported her through this ordeal.  She remains deeply remorseful for her actions, and the extraordinary pain she caused, and continues to cause, to Logan’s family.  Elizabeth believes Gabriel is with a loving family, and she hopes someday Gabriel will either be found or will come forward.  Elizabeth very much misses and loves Gabriel.  Elizabeth was relieved by the sentence she received in court.  She plans to finish serving the balance of her time and to successfully complete her probation.  She plans to devote her future to helping single mothers in crisis, and hopes to make a positive difference in the world by helping others avoid the mistakes she made.  Although we asked the judge to impose probation on all three counts, we believe the judge’s sentence was reasonable and fair.  We expect Elizabeth to be released, with good behavior, in little more than one year.  Overall, Elizabeth and her family are very pleased with the results of both the trial and sentencing.

Elizabeth Johnson sentenced to 5.25 years in prison, minus time served

Elizabeth Johnson Sentence

MarcVictorElizabethJohnson

Elizabeth Johnson is sentenced to 5.25 years plus 4 years probation.

The judge sentenced Johnson to over five years in prison for custodial interference.  But with time already served, Johnson will only remain in jail another two years and with good behavior will most likely be released in about a year. At one point Johnson faced as much as 27 years before defense attorney Marc J. Victor took over the case after 3 other attorneys were fired by Ms. Johnson.
